Hello!

It's been an age and a half since I've been here. But I've finally found my way back.

Things have been crazy, amazing, busy, relaxing, annoying and rewarding. But not neccesarily in that order.

I'm still in Japan. I'm still teaching English, but I'm at a new junior high school. Things are going really well there.

I'm still on Atkins, but some weeks are better than others ya know? I'm still not losing....but I'm pretty sure I can figure out why. Ermm..straying off program occasionally? Yeah. That'll do it. So yeah...I'm trying to be good again. Exersice and water is back on track too.

How is everyone? I've missed you.

Mindy, glad to see you back here. yep straying off course does have some negative effects on all of us.
It is time to take stock and get in gear on the right track. I am really talking to myself here because I need the pep talk as much as anyone.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who talks to themselves!

We're in this together, Betty. Let's get on it so we can be healthier and happoer for the summer!

Welcome back! Glad to hear things are going well, for the most part. I think you'll find we're all having our own challenges. I choose to look at it that I would have done *extremely well* in the survival race, if I'd lived a few million years ago ;)

That is a great attitude to take, Laura. And thank heavens we don't live a few million years agao. There was less soap! And I might be too...erm...sucessful to run away from a hungry mountain lion.

Heck, I'm glad I didn't live a few *hundred* years ago :D No hairdryers, nail polish, or mascara! Can you imagine?

What do you like best about Japan?

Welcome back Mindy! A new high school huh? farther commute for you or closer? How do the school sessions run, year round with breaks for Japanese holidays?

Oh yea, self talk and straying big issues. I need to talk more and stray less! LOL!!

Today, back to the water wagon and continuing my 10/10/10...seems to be something little I can stick with (so far).

Which reminds me, I need to do those situps, pushups and squats right now or I'll get lost in the day and be in bed to sleep for the night without ever thinking of it again! LOL!!

What do you like best about Japan?

Is "The Men!" the wrong answer to this question?:p
The shopping is good (except for clothes and shoes...sigh).
I love the music.
I've got some great friends over here.

But yeah...I like the men. They're so CUTE!!! Sadly, they seem less interested in me. :icon_anger:

katlam -- The school year here runs from April to March. Holidays are plentiful. Japan has about 13 national holidays in the year. There is also a two week break at end of December/beginning of January for New Year's. There is a two week break at the end of March between school years. And there are no lessons in August. So I have a lot of free time! :icon_dance:
What is 10/10/10?

OMG! I was just thinking about you yesterday when I came across your email address and hoping all is well! It is great to see you again!

I'm just tying up this school year, and each of my kids has taken turns inviting friends over. Tonight is the 12 year old's turn, and his friends are so danged hyper! I am thinking how much more mellow high schoolers are.

Thank god for high schoolers.

Hey! I don't have much experience with high schoolers, but yeah. I imagine they're much more chill...if they ever speak to you.

With the school year winding down...do you have any special plans for the summer?

I have plans to swim and lose the weight I've been steadily building for about the last year. I'd better get my act together or I'm going to have gravitational pull!

What about you, beautykins? What are your plans for summer deliciousness?

I'll probably spend a great deal of time complaing about the heat. That is what I do best. I'm also going around a bit to see some concerts. And then more complaining about the heat.

Losing weight would be great too. Let's see what I can do about that.
