Hello everyone!

Hi all... Rick here...

I guess I fit in with everyone... been aware of weight issues all of my life, though I was a jock in school. It was still a struggle to me, and I continue to fight it today at 50. I will beat the beast... and I will do it soon... thanks to all of the help from this sight.

I honestly need to take off about 25 lbs and keep it off... not as much as some, but more than others... and I know that I can do it. I will do it... thanks to your help!!!!!

Being a jock in a small school is easy. :) Yes, I played basketball, baseball and ran track in school... again, it was a very smal school! Baseball was my best... 4 year letterman... I need to find a picture! :)

Yeah, he cracks me up too! I still haven't seen the movie "Talladega Nights, The Legend of Ricky Bobby". It's comming out on ppv next month, so I'll have to catch it then. The first time I saw that picture, I knew it had to be my avatar! :)

I know what you mean.... but this place feels warm and cozy, doesn't it? :)

My program has had it's ups and downs, mostly downs (on the scale that is!). Lost 50 lbs earlier in the year, gained back about 15 when I was totally off program for a few months, and now I'm back to losing again. So far I'm down a little over 40 lbs this year, with about 20 left to go before I can call it goal. I am hitting it hard again now... trying to exercise and eat right every day. There are sometimes some struggles, but that is life. But, all in all, I do feel like I have it in control now. Thanks for asking!

I will say this..... in all honesty... the other board helped me so much when I began my journey. There was so much knowledge there, and such great support. Somewhere that changed, and I felt like I was mostly on my own, and went to a different site.... and it helped some more... but now, this site is here, and it's my new home. It is full of those people that helped me in the beginning, and with the same attitudes. These are the people that I want to succeed with. That includes you. :)

And, I'm at a point where I want to help others feel the same thing... So, I'm here to stay!!!! I hope everyone else is too!
